Whilst most gas refills will contain gas of a similar standard, there is a very good reason for us to recommend that you only use dunhill gas canisters, and in fact why it is a requirement of the guarantee that you do.
As gas is delivered into your lighter from the canister, it will pass over a sealing gasket. In many cheaper competitive products, the gasket sealant used is picked up in small quantities, and then finds its way into the inside of your lighter, eventually clogging it.
The gasket sealant we use within dunhill has been designed specifically to meet our own higher standards of quality, and so by using our gas, you can be confident that this "clogging" is significantly reduced. This is particularly the case if you are the owner of a Turbo Lighter.
