Having launched in 2003, dunhill Custom Tailoring provides the ultimate in accessible sartorial splendour. With a generous selection of 250 of the finest British and Italian cloths and a stylistic choice of silhouettes, dunhill Custom allows a suit, jacket, trousers or shirt to match any style, mood or occasion.
For Spring/Summer 2008, the Custom offerings are inspired by and drawn from the seasonal dunhill menswear collection. Based on the feeling of 'favourite' pieces that are intrinsically stylish but kept forever, these clothes are quite simply made for the consummate dunhill gentleman. Nodding to the travelling connoisseur, dunhill Custom continues to work exclusively with the best mills in Italy and the UK to offer high-twist weaves with fantastical natural crease resistance and powers of recovery. A range of super 110s offer great resilience as well as being supremely lightweight with a crisp finish - allowing them to be as suitable for the heated tension of an office meeting as they are for a transatlantic garden party.
dunhill Custom shirting
The renowned dunhill Custom shirting boasts a choice of seven collars, four cuffs and a variety of options for front and hem. New for Spring/Summer 2008 is a beautiful, fresh white piquet weave, a zephyr royal blue fabric as well as the ever popular poplin cotton 100s 2 fold fabric available in white with a pink pinstripe, white with a double blue pinstripe or indeed blue with a white pinstripe.
St James's Silhouette
Custom uses dunhill's signature St. James's suit block, which is inspired by the archetypal Savile Row suit, but slightly slimmer, with a more suppressed waist, built up chest, and sharper shoulders presenting a more modern, defiantly 21st Century aspect to tailoring. Jackets can be chosen from one, two, and three button shapes in single-breasted styles, or a six button double-breasted. dunhill's preferred trouser is flat front and slim round the seat, but pleats can be added if the customer requests it, or if our tailors deem it more flattering.
