In the 1930s, craftsman coachbuilders for Rolls-Royce cars turned to Alfred Dunhill for finishing touches. The dunhill´s Motorities faceted-lens lamp for the interior of a Rolls-Royce was a work of art which diffused the light to a soft, welcoming glow. This was Alfred Dunhill´s inspiration for the original Facet wristwatch in 1936.

Such a timeless design is difficult to improve upon, but the ‘facet 1936’ gentlemen´s watch has been gently updated with a wider, more contemporary case, slightly flared lugs and softer angles to the triple-faceted glass. Housed only in an 18 carat, pink gold case with face facets, the Swiss mechanical movement is hand-wound by a beautifully engineered crown.
To preserve the purity and elegance of our rectangular dress watches there is no centre second hand. The oscillating balance wheel can bee seen through a small, crystal viewing window in the case back. This ensures it is easy to check whether or not the watch is wound.
