Writing Instrument Care

General Care

When carrying a writing instrument, always try to keep it in a leather case or pouch. This will protect the lacquer, resin or plated finish. The plated finish, in particular, is sensitive to scratches. Once it is scratched, it can be very difficult if not impossible to remove these marks.

If you have chosen a dunhill writing instrument in a silver-plated finish it will tarnish over time. Tarnishing is a natural characteristic of silver and we recommend that you clean the writing instrument with a silver polish cloth when you deem it necessary.
