Handmade in Northamptonshire on an exclusive dunhill last, this Derby split-toe shoe features a hand-stitched front apron and distinctive double leather sole. Made from a rich, brown, hatch-pattern French leather with a double-thickness oak-bark tanned sole, this is footwear of surpassing style and rare resilience.
The leather for the sole is tanned in Devon, in tanning pits that have existed since Roman times. The process takes 12 months from start to finish – a traditional, unhurried approach that is beautifully reflected in the quality of the finished product.
A constellation of smaller details signal the craft that goes into the making of each shoe: a unique dunhill nail cluster on the underside of the heel, a heat-embossed logo to the sole and a further dunhill motif on the insock.
Each pair is Goodyear-welted for additional durability.
