Alfred leather

Named after the founder of the Maison, Alfred Dunhill - an Edwardian gentleman who possessed an idiosyncratic obsession with innovation, quality and craftsmsnship – Alfred reflects his enduring philosophy:

It must be useful, it must work dependably, it must be beautiful, it must last. It must be the best of its kind”.

A softly tailored masculine silhouette, inspired by traditional British document cases, casualised with an almost imperceptible “slouch”and referencing the silhouette of the early automotive trunks created by Alfred Dunhill, featuring a very distinctive form, tailored to follow the precise contours of the car.

Distinctive handcrafted handle, created using time-honoured techniques and referencing the handle of the House’s Heritage attache’ case, still produced today by hand in our historic London atelier.

Signature lock closure, echoing the shape and proportions of the iconic Unique Lighter of 1924, detailed with a refined reed pattern, representing our 100 years of silversmith know how. Soft, double-curved side gusset, a distinctive construction that gives the bag its unique character and sculptural elegance.

Refined hand-applied saddlery stitching, showcasing the house’s unparalleled leather craftsmanship, a savoir faire honed for over 130 years.
