Rally Nippon 2025

dunhill is proud to serve as the title sponsor of RALLY NIPPON 2025 this year. From November 10th to 13th, approximately 60 classic cars, gathered from Japan and also from around the world, embarked on a journey of about 1,100 kilometers, starting in Oita and traversing five prefectures across Kyushu.

The route, which continued through Yufuin to Hitoyoshi Castle Ruins, Kirishima Jingu Shrine, the outer rim of Mount Aso, Usa Jingu Shrine, Kokura Castle, Munakata Taisha Shrine, and Fukuoka Gokoku Shrine, was a route where the charm of history and nature harmonised. A portion of the participation fees is donated to the preservation of historical buildings and regional revitalisation, contributing to the inheritance of Japanese culture.

dunhill is honored to support this great rally aligning with its own exceptional automotive history that began with the pioneering ‘Motorities’ collection, offering ‘everything but the motor’, conceived by House founder, Alfred Dunhill. In its 11th year of sponsorship, dunhill once again demonstrated a strong partnership, sharing values of craftsmanship, innovation, and the joy of driving.

As part of this year’s rally, dunhill was pleased to welcome acclaimed actor Hideaki Ito, who joined the event to immerse himself in the spirit of Rally Nippon. He travelled the Kyushu route, taking in the extraordinary scenery and historic landmarks that define the rally, and during the journey, he also collaborated with dunhill on a special fashion shoot featuring the House’s latest collection against the dramatic backdrop of the region’s landscapes and shrines.

Hideaki commented: "For me, the origin of car style is movies. I've always admired the men who faced cars on screen, and I've been captivated not just by the cars themselves, but by the atmosphere and the stories behind them. The feeling of 'enjoying the entire style,' including fashion and equipment, is precisely the spirit of Motorities. The dunhill clothes I wore this time also gave me a natural sense of composure and refinement when I put them on. I realized they weren't just clothes but were inspired by the 'equipment' for enjoying classic cars, and it made me aware of a sophisticated way for adults to enjoy cars."

dunhill is proud to continue its partnership with RALLY NIPPON to quietly and powerfully weave together the depth of Japanese culture, the elegance of motoring, the shared values that have long connected the House to the world of classic cars for the future.
