Description

Inspired by traditional Japanese lacquer-work techniques used in the crafting of dunhill Namiki pens, this capsule sees a vibrant goldfish illustration embellish selected pieces from our menswear, footwear and leather goods collections.

This tote is engineered in smooth black leather and features our archive goldfish design at the front and on the accompanying detachable zipped pouch, which secures via an internal strap. The motif is printed using a subtle layering technique for a textural relief effect. The handles are designed to allow the bag to be carried comfortably in the hand or over the shoulder.

” Introducing the new Archive Goldfish capsule. Released to celebrate with Lunar New Year, this special collection is influenced by intricate goldfish designs found on humidors, cigarette cases and pen stands from the dunhill archive.

The artwork of which references Japanese art, in particular the historic relationship between dunhill and Namiki. In ancient Chinese culture the fish became a universal symbol of good fortune, health and happiness. Where people believed the fish to be a close relative of sea dragons and other mythical beasts; positioning them as hugely positive symbolic creatures, something that continues today.”
