The Century inspires a family of refined shapes - from the tote to the carry on – all unified by distinctive hardware codes inspired by the House’s iconic Unique lighter and a shared sense of sophisticated travel.
Soft luggage shape, inspired by traditional automotive travel trunks and rediscovered for modern day use.
A steering wheel stitch detail on the handles is a direct nod to the Maison’s motoring heritage. Taking the traditional cross stitch technique of a leather wrapped steering wheel and combining this with a contemporary take on a Touron handle resulting in a characterful detail.
Signifying hardware developed for Century include the Padlock, a cylindrical rolla-tag and an engravable monogram tag. The pronounced reed motif in the metal echoes the iconic Unique Lighter of 1924, featuring a refined “reed” pattern.
Sophisticated side leather straps, inspired by the soft luggage once created to accompany trunks, allow the shape to shift from a compact form to a more relaxed silhouette.
Curvilinear base corners reference archival vintage trunks, marrying form with function.
