dunhill Bespoke Objects

“You’ll always find the unusual at Alfred Dunhill”

Bespoke objects at dunhill are born from a pursuit of excellence - where heritage techniques, exceptional materials and the hands of master artisans come together to create pieces of rare character. Each commission is a study in British craft and ingenuity, thoughtfully designed and meticulously realised for the individual. From objets d’art to functional heirlooms, these creations embody the House’s enduring spirit of innovation, elevating the everyday into something extraordinary.

BICYCLE

A celebration of English mobility, this distinguished made-to-order pushbike is inspired by Edwardian cycle frame geometry and reflects upon the dunhill motorities spirit.

Each bicycle is hand-clad in leather at our Walthamstow workshop – where we have been handcrafting the finest leather goods since 1936 - with every joint, curve and surface carefully traced with a signature steering wheel stitch finished by individual artisans. The saddle, modelled on a vintage original, features a flash of red goatskin beneath, a discreet yet distinctive accent.

The bicycle is both practical and remarkable, built for leisure, but defined by craftsmanship.

Completing the piece is a polished metal ‘Tweenie’ – a mischievous devil mascot originally designed by Alfred Diunhill as a car hood ornament in 1913. Following Alfred Dunhill’s motorcycle design, this historic figure of rebellion is mounted on the rear fender, a finishing flourish that links heritage with motion.

The Globe

For the discerning gentleman of curiosity, this globe is both an object of art and adventure. Created in collaboration with Leonardo Frigo, a London-based artisan renowned for his 17th-century Venetian globe-making techniques, it is a singular expression of dunhill savoir-faire.

The wooden frame is layered with plaster and hand-sanded. Each cartography segment is hand-engraved onto copperplates, hand-printed on bespoke Venetian paper formula and then hand-painted in subtle sepia tones. A bespoke cartography segment bears dunhill armorial insignia whilst the iconic Tweenie dances on top of the world.

The base is handcrafted in oak and wrapped in our historic leather workshop in Walthamstow, London, using our signature steering wheel stitch, a nod to the House’s automotive heritage. A tactile expression of house code and design in studied balance.

A true collector’s piece, this globe is an emblem of craftsmanship, made for those who appreciate the details of making as much as the spirit of exploration. Indeed, each globe can be personalised with markers of individual voyages.
